Clevercat Litter Box

One of the best inventions known to cats, I really wish I had thought of this myself. Slinky that rascal had a thing for dipping into the cat litter box and for a lack of a better term would grab some poo. There I said it.

Well mom got tired of that and searched on the internet and found the Clevercat top entry litterbox and Slinky the dachshund couldn’t get in it… problem solved!

I know it may seem expensive for a cat box that doesn’t do anything but trust me it does. We have had ours for over 2 years and it works like a charm.

It keeps the dog out and and the poo in, it also has a stubbly top to catch any extra litter that might fly up when we cats are jumping out and you just tilt it back in if you want too. One other feature mom likes it you do not have to take the lid of to clean the box unless you want to.

So if the dogs are letting the poo out you might consider getting the Clevercat litterbox

Sorry folks I know it’s been awhile since my last post, Mom had some medical issues she had to take care of and I’m happy to say all is well. For the next few weeks will be focusing on Christmas presents for pets (can you say yea!!)

Buy Stamps Feed Animals

Have you seen the posters at the Post Office of the new animal stamps that were on the way? I have but I didn’t know the exact meaning behind it. After reading this article at http://www.globalshift.org/2010/05/buy-a-stamp-help-a-shelter-pet/

I learned the why… purchasing the stamps will help feed animals at shelters across the nation. Halo Pet Food is working towards providing a million meals to pets waiting for adoption.

Please help the United States Post Office raise awareness for the need to adopt a pet from the animal shelter. Many fantastic pets looking for a good home, could be found right at your local shelter.

I found a nifty post on this website entitled Seventeen Things Worth Knowing About Your Cat the headline intrigued me and I thought I would check it out, I mean you can never know too much about cat’s in my opinion. Obviously I was expecting something like this..

1. your cat is blah, blah

2. your cat wishes it could blah, blah

But when I got there I saw wonderful graphics and a nifty pictorial on interesting cat information. You should check out the page I thought it was quite original, I might have to try the paw at something like that.

Pets Like Girl Scout Cookies

Hooray it’s girl scout cookie time! As you all know girl scout cookies are delicious and I placed an order for the Lemon and the Trefoils, they have a new flavor this year some sort of Cranberry one called “Thank you Berry Much” sounds good but I decided just to stick with the two. Sadly when they get here I know I won’t get to eat any cause me mum doesn’t give me people food. Phooey

I’m sure you are well aware that cookies aren’t good for pets anymore than for people, we can succumb to many of the disease you folks can. So eat them in moderation and if you can’t see you way to giving us a wee itty bitty nibble then have decency to eat them in the other room.

FYI- President Obama signed the Girl Scouts of the USA Commemorative Coin Act authorizing the minting of 350,000 silver dollar coins in honor of Girl Scouts in October 09.

A portion of coin sales will help fund the renovations on the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace in Savannah, Ga (GS Founder) it will be issued in 2013. I thought waiting 6 weeks for the cookies was a long wait. (I guess it takes a lot longer to bake a coin than a cookie)

Please support your local Girl Scouts by buying loads of yummy cookies and later on when they’re done some Girl Scout Coins.

Be Kind to Us Animals Don’t Abuse Us

I’ve posted some sad stories this week about abused animals and children but also some happy posts too. There is such a mixture of good and bad in the world and while I prefer to just stick with happy news sometimes it takes a shock to get us to notice that bad things are happening around us. If we don’t hear about it then well how do we know how to fight it.

It’s not likely that we can totally wipe out animal cruelty but we can stand up for a abused animal if we see it happen. The majority of folks have cell phones with cameras now and you can certainly snap a picture.

Now I’m not telling you to put yourself in harms way, but if you think something isn’t quite right investigate a little and never accuse anyone of anything without some sort of proof.

There’s is a difference between seeing your neighbor beating his cat or hearing the cat yelp because your mom stepped on you coming out of a room and didn’t know you were laying there (happened to me this morning) because you never lay in that spot ever.

Do what you can to fight abuse, be kind to us we can’t talk and tell you how we feel. And watch for us laying on the carpet where you would least likely expect us to be…
